Role Description

The Board of Directors position is a volunteer role serving as an ambassador, advocate, and connector for Pace Center for Girls. This role focuses on securing financial resources needed to fulfill the organization’s mission by leveraging personal networks, cultivating donor relationships, opening doors to new opportunities, and actively supporting fundraising initiatives.

As a board member, you will:

• Participate in board meetings and prepare for strategic discussions.
• Leverage networks to identify and secure sponsorship and donor support.
• Advocate for Pace’s programs to community partners and decision makers.
• Represent Pace at events and build community goodwill.
• Support fundraising initiatives and public policy advocacy.

• Experience in nonprofit governance, organizational leadership, or service on boards or advisory committees.
• Background in education, youth development, social services, mental health, or community advocacy.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship‑building skills with diverse stakeholders.
• Commitment to gender-responsive, trauma‑informed, and culturally inclusive practices.
• Capacity to commit time for meetings, preparation, and occasional events in Tallahassee, FL, and willingness to serve as an active ambassador for Pace.
• Prior experience with fundraising, philanthropy, or public policy advocacy related to youth, education, or mental health is a plus.
