PPFF Student Civic Engagement Internship Fall 2026

Founded by Representative Dr. Anna V. Eskamani, People Power for Florida Empowerment Fund is a non-partisan 501(c)(3) fiscally-sponsored organization dedicated to empowering young people to become informed, engaged, and effective civic leaders across Florida. We advance civic participation by organizing volunteers and statewide initiatives focused on voter registration, non-partisan voter education, and long-term community leadership development. Our multi-class, multi-racial, and multi-generational organizing model prioritizes direct, on-the-ground engagement- meeting young people where they are and equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to participate meaningfully in our democracy.

Through sustained voter contact and education efforts, we work to build durable, youth-led civic power that strengthens communities and democratic participation across the state.

People Power for Florida is seeking passionate college students to join our Campus Organizing Internship Program. This semester-long leadership development program is designed for students who want to gain hands-on experience in community organizing, civic engagement, issue advocacy, and voter outreach & education while making a positive impact on their campus and community. This program combines real-world organizing experience with professional development through interactive trainings, mentorship, and direct voter contact opportunities.

Interns who successfully complete the program will receive a $500 semester stipend. Through this program, interns will receive training in:
Community Organizing, Grassroots Advocacy, Elections and Campaigns, Voter Registration, Public Speaking, Campaign Strategy, Leadership Development, Digital Organizing.

• First or second year student currently enrolled at a participating college or university.
• Proven track record of community involvement.
• Having prior leadership experience is preferred.
• Passionate about making a difference in their community.
• Strong organizational abilities.
• Eager to develop leadership and movement organizing skills.
• Reliable, collaborative, and willing to learn.
• Able to commit to the full semester program.
• No previous organizing experience required. We will provide all necessary training.

• Attending bi-weekly trainings.
• Completing one canvassing shift each week.
• Completing one phone banking shift each week.
• Remaining active with the People Power student organization on your campus.
