Reporting directly to the Director of Development, the Englewood Community Engagement Coordinator serves as a visible and consistent representative of Boys & Girls Clubs of Charlotte County throughout the Englewood community. This position builds and strengthens relationships with businesses, civic organizations, donors, volunteers, and community partners; represents the organization at networking events and community functions; and creates meaningful opportunities for individuals and organizations to support the Englewood Club.
The Coordinator will also cultivate sponsor ships, support Englewood-based fundraising events, and increase awareness of the organization’s mission.
- Coordinate assigned Englewood-based fundraising and stewardship events, including timelines, venues, vendors, contracts, volunteers, budgets, and event-day execution.
- Collaborate with leadership and marketing partners to promote events and coordinate related communications and materials.
- Recruit and prepare volunteers and committee members for their event responsibilities.
- Develop sponsorship proposals and conduct outreach to prospective sponsors and supporters.
- Coordinate donor acknowledgments, sponsor recognition, post-event activities, and recommendations for future events.
- Maintain accurate event records, monitor revenue and expenses, and provide progress reports to the Director of Development.
- Build and steward relationships with current, lapsed, and prospective Englewood businesses, donors, and community partners.
- Represent the organization at networking events, community functions, and civic activities.
- Develop proposals and engagement strategies for sponsor ships, program support, cause marketing, grants, volunteerism, and other partnerships.
- Maintain accurate relationship activity, results, and next steps in the donor management system/CRM.
- Track progress toward engagement and fundraising goals and provide regular reports as needed.
- Collaborate with program staff and business partners on initiatives such as the Holiday Toy Drive and Back-to-School Drive.
- Assist the Director of Development with donor engagement and stewardship initiatives as assigned.
- Regular attendance at community, networking, and fundraising activities is required.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding donor, member, financial, and organizational information.
- Participate in staff meetings, training opportunities, and organization-wide activities as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the organization’s mission and Englewood community presence.
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, nonprofit management, public relations, business, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- Three years of relevant experience in community relations, nonprofit development, fundraising, sales, hospitality, public relations, or event planning preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse community members and organizational leaders.
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, exercise sound judgment, and work with limited supervision.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn donor database, event management, and communication platforms.
- Ability to remain composed, solve problems, and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability and willingness to attend networking, community/ fundraising activities, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Strong knowledge of the Englewood community or the ability to develop local connections.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the ability to travel locally for meetings, events, and community activities.
- Ability to successfully complete all required background screenings.
Salary is $48,000 annually. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance; a retirement plan with a company match; life insurance; PTO and scheduled paid leave; and performance-based bonuses.
