Community Outreach Coordinator

The American National Red Cross seeks a Community Outreach Coordinator to build local awareness, partnerships, and volunteer engagement that advance our humanitarian mission. In this role, you will plan and lead outreach events, support blood drives, and collaborate with community groups, schools, and businesses to expand disaster preparedness and health and safety education. You will recruit and support volunteers, deliver presentations, track engagement metrics, and represent the Red Cross at community functions, ensuring inclusive, compassionate service to diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute community outreach events and presentations to promote Red Cross programs and services.
• Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, schools, businesses, and faith-based groups.
• Support planning and promotion of blood drives and preparedness initiatives.
• Recruit, coordinate, and recognize volunteers for outreach and community programs.
• Represent the Red Cross at local events, meetings, and fairs as a primary liaison.
• Develop and distribute outreach materials, leveraging social media and email campaigns.
• Track participation, volunteer activity, and impact metrics; prepare basic reports.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align outreach activities with disaster response and education priorities.
• Ensure outreach efforts are inclusive and responsive to diverse communities.
• Assist with logistics, scheduling, and follow-up communication for community partnerships.
