OPS OPERATIONS ANALYST II -
Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications, ranging from $15.00 to $18.50, hourly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:This position serves as the Volunteer Recruitment and Outreach Coordinator and supports the statewide volunteer engagement and recruitment initiatives of the Florida Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP). This position plays a vital role in strengthening the program’s volunteer base by coordinating outreach campaigns, maintaining online listings, managing recognition activities, and providing administrative and creative support for statewide volunteer engagement. The position also serves as liaison to the Florida Pioneer Network and other aging-service organizations to promote LTCOP’s mission and expand its visibility across the state.

- Coordinates the 55+ Volunteer Recruitment Initiative
, developing and implementing targeted outreach strategies to attract and retain older adult volunteers. - Posts and maintain volunteer opportunities for each district through Idealist
, Volunteer Florida
, United Way
, and AARP Volunteer Portals
, ensuring listings remain current and accurately represent program needs. - Researches and identifies community events, fairs, and tabling opportunities in under-represented areas to increase volunteer recruitment and awareness.
- Ensures accurate translation of volunteer advertisements and materials to support Hispanic outreach and inclusion efforts.
- Serves as the Florida Pioneer Network liaison
, coordinating information exchange and distributing materials to appropriate stakeholders. - Develops and schedules social media content (Facebook posts and other platforms) to promote volunteer opportunities, recognition, and program milestones.
- Centralizes and coordinates creation, printing, and statewide distribution of program manuals and training materials.
- Coordinates volunteer recognition activities
, including birthdays, anniversaries, and milestone acknowledgments. - Assists with conference and training events
, including creating badges, table name tags, and other materials; provides onsite or virtual logistical support. - Serves as backup support for districts with low staffing
, including initial lead follow-up and scheduling of volunteer interviews.
- Manages statewide calendar functions
, ensuring all monthly district council meetings and monthly statewide trainings are accurately scheduled and communicated. - Maintains tracking logs for outreach efforts, volunteer leads, and engagement data for reporting and evaluation purposes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of volunteer management and recruitment strategies. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and social media platforms. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Knowledge of Florida’s aging services network and long-term care system is desirable.
- If selected for employment applicant will be required to become a certified Ombudsman upon time frame set by employer.
- Four years of professional experience in communications, public relations, human services, or related field is preferred.
- A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience.
