Operations Analyst II

Responsibilities

• Support statewide volunteer engagement and recruitment initiatives for the Florida Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program
• Coordinate the 55+ Volunteer Recruitment Initiative and implement targeted outreach strategies
• Post and maintain volunteer opportunities through Idealist, Volunteer Florida, United Way, and AARP Volunteer Portals
• Research community events, fairs, and tabling opportunities in under-represented areas
• Ensure accurate translation of volunteer advertisements and materials for Hispanic outreach
• Serve as Florida Pioneer Network liaison and coordinate information exchange
• Develop and schedule social media content promoting volunteer opportunities, recognition, and program milestones
• Coordinate creation, printing, and statewide distribution of program manuals and training materials
• Coordinate volunteer recognition activities, including birthdays, anniversaries, and milestones
• Assist with conferences and training events, including badges and table name tags, with onsite or virtual logistical support
• Provide backup support for understaffed districts, including lead follow-up and volunteer interview scheduling
• Manage statewide calendars for district council meetings and statewide trainings
• Maintain tracking logs for outreach, volunteer leads, and engagement data
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Knowledge of volunteer management and recruitment strategies
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and social media platforms
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
• Knowledge of Florida’s aging services network and long-term care system is desirable
• If selected for employment applicant will be required to become a certified Ombudsman upon time frame set by employer
• Four years of professional experience in communications, public relations, human services, or related field is preferred
• A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university can substitute for the required experience
• Successful completion of a Level 2 Criminal History Background Check is required
• Must submit a complete application with employment history, supervisor names and phone numbers, and explanations for employment gaps of 3 months or more
• Veteran’s Preference claims require supporting documentation (DD214)
• Right to First Interview claims require an official layoff letter

Demonstrates expertise in volunteer management and recruitment strategies, with proficiency in social media content development and community outreach. Bilingual in English and Spanish, with a strong understanding of Florida’s aging services network and long-term care system.
