Macedonia First Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a Southern Baptist pastor who feels called to serve alongside our church family. We are a welcoming, loving congregation that desires a pastor who will faithfully preach and teach God's Word, encourage spiritual growth, and lead with a heart of love, humility, and service.
Our pastor will work closely with our deacons and congregation to continue building a strong, Christ-centered church that reaches people in our community and provides a place where individuals and families feel welcomed, loved, and supported.
Responsibilities- Faithfully preach and teach the Word of God through engaging, biblically sound sermons and Bible studies.
- Lead worship services and provide spiritual direction to the congregation.
- Pray with and for church members and provide compassionate pastoral care during times of joy, hardship, illness, and loss.
- Visit and minister to members of the congregation and community.
- Work alongside the deacons and church family in making decisions that support the mission and ministry of the church.
- Encourage fellowship, discipleship, evangelism, missions, and community outreach.
- Support and encourage ministries for children, youth, adults, and families.
- Participate in church activities, special services, and community events.
- Build genuine relationships with members and become an active, caring presence within the community.
- Lead by example through Christian character, integrity, humility, and a servant's heart.
- Has a genuine and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Feels called to serve in pastoral ministry.
- Is committed to the beliefs and values of the Southern Baptist Association.
- Has a love for people and a heart for serving others.
- Is a strong biblical teacher and communicator.
- Values relationships, fellowship, and the importance of a church family.
- Is willing to work collaboratively with the deacons and congregation.
- Demonstrates compassion, integrity, humility, and strong Christian character.
