Job Overview
American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) RN for a 13‑week travel assignment at a Level II Trauma Center in Hudson, FL.
Assignment Details- Specialty: CVOR

- Shift: Day (6:00 AM – 2:30 PM), variable call, night coverage via on‑call

Provide direct patient care in a 1:1 CVOR setting, performing procedures such as CABG, valve replacement, thoracic, and vascular surgeries in a 12‑suite OR with 2 dedicated CVOR rooms. Float to the main OR as required. Cover every other weekend and rotate holidays with hospital staff. Monitor patients in a Level II Trauma Center environment and support surgical teams.
Qualifications- Active Florida or Compact RN license.
- Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment).
- Minimum 5 years of CVOR experience.
- Experience in a main OR and willingness to float.
- Scrub experience preferred.
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration.
- Two professional references (Florida state requirement).
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months.
- Open‑heart surgical procedures performed include CABG and valve replacement.
- Day shift staffed with 4 RNs and 4 CSTs.
- Scrub color for surgical staff is Ciel Blue.
- Applicants must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
- First‑time travelers are not explicitly welcomed; 5+ years CVOR experience required.
