This 13-week assignment is ideal for nurses eager to expand their clinical expertise and boost their resumes with exposure to advanced surgical specialties, including orthopedics, neurosurgery, robotics, ENT, general surgery, and urology. Your adaptability and desire for professional growth will be fully engaged, with opportunities to float between multiple campuses and be an integral part of a high-performing surgical team.

Schedule/Hours:
  • Day shift (6:30a-5p), with call requirements.
  • Exact shift times and days may vary based on surgical volume.
Required Qualifications:
  • Current RN licensure in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years' recent Operating Room experience
  • ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications
  • Proficiency in Cerner EMR
  • Demonstrated strengths in Ortho, Neuro, Robotics, ENT, General Surgery, Urology
  • CNOR certification preferred
  • Flexibility to float to other campuses as needed
Key Responsibilities:
  • Anticipate and coordinate comprehensive OR patient care alongside surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists
  • Ensure availability of supplies and efficient case flow
  • Effectively communicate with families and multidisciplinary team members
  • Maintain up-to-date physician preference cards
  • Scrubbing and assisting during procedures, supervising ancillary staff
  • Adhere to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN, and regulatory standards
