Heather Hill Health Care Center is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Staff Development Coordinator / Infection Preventionist (ADON).
This is a key clinical leadership role responsible for overseeing staff education, onboarding, competency development, infection prevention initiatives, and regulatory compliance throughout the facility.

- Staff Development &
Education:- Coordinate orientation and onboarding programs for nursing staff
- Develop and conduct clinical education and in-service training programs
- Monitor and validate nursing competencies and skills
- Support staff development, coaching, and ongoing education initiatives
- Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements
- Infection Prevention & Control:
- Oversee the facility's Infection Prevention and Control Program
- Monitor, track, investigate, and report infections according to regulatory requirements
- Conduct surveillance and trend analysis to identify opportunities for improvement
- Educate staff on infection prevention practices and regulatory updates
- Ensure compliance with CDC, CMS, OSHA, and state infection control regulations
- Participate in QAPI and performance improvement initiatives
- Clinical Leadership & Regulatory Compliance:
- Assist with survey readiness and regulatory compliance efforts
- Support policy development and implementation
- Participate in quality improvement activities and clinical audits
- Collaborate with nursing leadership to improve resident outcomes
- Serve in the facility's on-call rotation as assigned
Required
- Current, active Florida RN license in good standing
- Infection Prevention Certification (IP-BC, CIC, or equivalent) REQUIRED
- Previous Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care experience
- Experience providing staff education and training
Strong knowledge of:
- Infection Prevention & Control
- CMS Regulations
- Survey Readiness
- Clinical Documentation
- Quality Assurance & Performance Improvement (QAPI)
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Previous Staff Development Coordinator experience
- Experience leading infection prevention programs in a SNF environment
- Point Click Care or similar EMR experience
