Rate based on experience:
Minimum $34.84 (RN Inpatient II) to Max: $47.33 (RN Inpatient V). Receive 17% Weekday Nights, 26% Weekend Nights and 15% Weekend Day shift differentials.

- Coronary Care Subacute
- Adult Oncology – Serve patients who are receiving chemotherapy, stem cell transplants, radiation and more. We also participate in research measures aimed at preventing and treating cancer diagnoses. We are New Mexico's only NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Center and one of only 51 in the United States.
- Family Medicine Inpatient (3‑N) – Patient population ranges from End Stage Renal Disease, Liver Failure, Mobility Issues, Surgical and more. We also are the secondary unit for Cystic Fibrosis patients.
- Gen Med/SAC (4‑W) – Care for patients with many different conditions and disease processes. Our specialized care population are patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.
- General Medicine (5‑W) – Care for patients with many different conditions and disease processes. Our specialized care population are patients with Cystic Fibrosis. We also were the primary COVID unit during the height of the pandemic.
- General Surgery/Transplant (6‑S) – Care for primarily pre‑op and post‑op renal transplant patients as well as some patients needing to be treated for transplant rejection. We also care for surgical oncology, hepatobiliary and general surgery patients.
- Trauma Subacute (4‑E) – Patient population consists of primarily trauma patients along with specialties such as chronic pain, complex ENT patients, and everything in between.
- Orthopedics (3‑S) – Care for patients with many different conditions and disease processes. Our specialized care population are patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.
- Surgical Specialty Unit (4‑S) – Service a wide variety of patient populations being cared by services such as General Surgery, Emergency General Surgery, Urology, Plastics and more. We see a lot of patients with surgical drains, complicated wounds, wound VAC’s, chest tubes, indwelling urinary catheters, ostomies and the occasional trach.
- Neuroscience (5‑S) – Serve patients who have experienced stroke, seizures, traumatic brain injuries, spinal injuries, multiple sclerosis and more. We have been designated by the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association as a Primary Advanced Stroke Center.
Work within the nursing process to provide direct nursing care to assigned patients. Provide clinical leadership for other staff and assume relief charge duties when designated. Serve as a role model to promote a positive work environment and quality patient care. Ensure adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. Patient care assignment may include Neonate, Pediatric, Adolescent, Adult and Geriatric age groups.
EssentialFunctions
- Patient Care – Deliver safe direct care to an assigned group of patients as required.
- Policies – Work within Hospitals, Nursing division and departmental policies.
- Care Plan – Work in collaboration with the healthcare team, implement and document individualized care plans incorporating age‑specific considerations, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching.
- Tests and Procedures – Assist with special tests and procedures, ensure proper consent has been obtained.
- Participation – Participate in orientation; upon successful completion of preceptor training assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
- Emergency Measures – Assist with or institute emergency measures for sudden, adverse developments in patients.
