The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) delivers rapid‑response, high‑quality patient care in a fast‑paced emergency department setting. The role involves assessing patient conditions, implementing urgent care plans, administering life‑saving treatments, and collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Rapidly assess and triage patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on severity.
• Explain emergency procedures and treatments to patients and families.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with protocols.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during emergency treatments and examinations.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety throughout, responding to immediate needs.
• Observe and document patient conditions within scope of practice; take and monitor vital signs.
• Respond to life‑saving situations according to nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocols.
• Document comprehensive nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR.
• Initiate patient education plans according to individualized needs.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
• Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• One year recent experience as an ER RN.
• Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS (AHA/ARC) or ENPC certification.
• Preferred: TNCC, NIHSS, CPI, NRP, and SANE certifications.
• Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position.

• Critical thinking, service excellence, good interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English.
• Ability to read/write, follow verbal instructions, and PC skills.

• Remain stationary, move about.
• Move equipment 50‑100 lbs, push, pull, bend.

• Work effectively with a variety of personnel, presenting a positive attitude and professionalism.

• Perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or equipment use.

• Handle frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure.
• Work under close supervision occasionally, as well as independently.
• Manage irregular activity schedules and maintain continuous concentration to detail.
