Registered Nurse; RN - North Neurology - Augusta, GA

Job Summary

Registered Nurses provide quality nursing services by working with the patient care team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patients' care and by providing a positive, supportive environment. The RN is the frontline representative of the patient care team, often serving as the intermediary between the patient and family, the provider(s), and other care team members. This role is expected to participate in performance improvement initiatives, maintain professional competence, develop others, uphold confidentiality, safety, and professional standards, and support Shared Governance through service on councils or sponsored activities.

• Patient Care and Care Coordination:
  Monitor, examine, and evaluate patients’ conditions; assist with care plan and take appropriate actions to promote short/long‑term outcomes and wellbeing; deliver care plan applying independent judgment; collaborate and communicate patient care plans with other staff; prioritize and coordinate optimum daily patient flow and experience; deliver safe and effective care; maintain documentation of assessment, changes, care delivered, education, incidents.
• Patient Advocacy and Satisfaction:
  Listen to concerns, probe to understand needs and respond appropriately; serve as an educational resource; communicate information to family and staff; embrace patient‑ and family‑centered care; prioritize actions and provide input to plan of care while maintaining confidentiality.
• Performance Improvement:
  Seek opportunities to improve environment and processes; contribute ideas; support implementation; contribute to initiatives aligned with better patient quality outcomes, satisfaction, staff satisfaction, and organizational financial performance.
• Professional Competency and Growth:
  Maintain licenses and certifications; complete required training; self‑identify training opportunities; engage in professional organizations; stay current with literature; seek growth and leadership development.
• Professional Leadership:
  Mentor and precept; foster growth; support a positive work environment; adhere to confidentiality, safety, and professional standards; demonstrate shared governance; recruit nurses.
• Other duties:

Hours:

Full Time Nights, 36 Hours per week (3/12s). Sign‑on Bonus: $20,000.

• Associate’s in Nursing or Diploma (Nurse);
  Bachelor’s Nursing preferred.

• BLS‑I Basic Life Support Instructor or BLS Basic Life Support or ARC‑BLS Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support.
• RN‑Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN‑COMPACT (Multi‑state Compact).
