Experienced Registered Nurse Labor & Delivery Unit Night Shift

Join our Dynamic Nursing Team in our Labor & Delivery Unit.

This is a full‑time opportunity for experienced L&D Registered Nurses with a minimum of two years of L&D experience. Unit shift hours are 6:00 PM–6:30 AM. Weekends, holidays, and mandatory on‑call shifts are required. Within 90 days of employment, you must hold a Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification. You will provide professional nursing care to patients and families in an acute clinical care environment, guided by the SMHCS nursing professional practice model and in accordance with the ANA’s Standards of Professional Practice.

• Basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or a diploma program. For new hires after 2012, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) is required within a specified timeframe as outlined in the New Hire BSN Agreement policy.
• NRP certification within 90 days of hire in accordance with the NRP curriculum of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Heart Association.
• Any neonatal certification obtained during employment must be maintained during the remainder of employment (e.g., High‑Risk Neonatal Nursing Certification, Neonatal Transport Certification, Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification, Lactation Certification).

The hourly rate is determined by years of experience as an RN, education level, and internal equity. The minimum rate starts at $34.10, with a maximum salary range of $52.80. Additionally, if you hold an approved certification, you qualify for certification pay of $1.50 per hour.
