Futures has an immediate need for compassionate and experienced Licensed Practical Nurses with experience in addictions (including detox), and eating disorders.
Duties andCompetencies:
- Work cooperatively with residents, families and stakeholders assistance with their healthcare needs.
- Assess and determine the individual needs of residents upon admission and during monitoring.
- Communicate the medical needs of residents to the Director of Nursing
- Administer prescribed medication.
- Provide assistance to Director of Utilization Review in communicating pertinent nursing information.
- Oversee resident medical records and ensure that all nursing documentation is accurate and truly reflects the resident’s medical condition.
- Assist the Director of Operations in maintaining the overall Health and Safety of residents, staff and employees of Futures.
- Actively participate in all Risk Management and Performance Improvement activities and meetings.
- Assist with communicating Critical Incident Reports to the Director of Operations.
- Ensure that delivery of nursing services meets and complies with Florida State licensing requirements and CARF standards.
- Other duties as assigned
- Detox experience strongly preferred, but will consider substance abuse and/or eating disorder experience.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a hospital or treatment center setting.
- Must be team‑oriented and have strong nursing as well as administrative skills.
- Ability to work on several assignments at once, good communication skills and strong medical background to support the clinical needs of Futures.
