Location: Land O' Lakes
Naph Care is seeking a full‑time night shift Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our medical team at the Pasco County Detention Center in Land O Lakes, Florida. As a Correctional CNA, you will work under the supervision of a registered nurse alongside correctional officers to care for individuals in a secure environment. The role includes assisting physicians with examinations, taking patient histories and vital signs, supporting administrative tasks, and more.

- Assist with patient assessments, including interviewing patients about current health problems and medication history.
- Take vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, respiration, weight).
- Perform routine procedures under established protocols (phlebotomy, EKGs, dressing changes, wound cultures, etc.).
- Document medical history, medications, treatments, and conditions.
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility.
- Provide basic wound care, basic laboratory tests, and basic patient education and instructions.
- Observe and report changes in patients’ physical or mental health to nurses.
- CNA certification, completion of an accredited program and a state‑approved competency exam.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Ability to obtain BLS CPR and first aid certification (AHA required).
- Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary and confidential information.
- Display integrity and professionalism, adhering to a code of conduct and all facility policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks such as CPR while maintaining balance and endurance throughout a shift.
