Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

American Traveler is seeking an experienced CVOR RN for a 13-week travel contract at a Level II Trauma Center in Hudson, FL, requiring 5+ years of CVOR experience and availability for a variable call schedule.

Requirements

• Active FL or Compact RN license required
• Current BLS certification (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment)
• Minimum 5 years of CVOR experience required
• Main OR experience required, with willingness to float
• Candidates who also scrub are preferred
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Two professional references required (Florida state requirement)
• No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Responsibilities

• CVOR unit within a 309-bed Level II Trauma Center hospital
• 12-suite OR with 2 dedicated CVOR rooms
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Day shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM with a variable call schedule
• Night shift coverage handled via on-call staffing
• Floating to the main OR is required
• Every other weekend required, with holidays worked in rotation with hospital staff
• Typical procedures include CABG, valve replacement, thoracic, and vascular surgery
• EMR:
  Meditech (experience preferred)
• Performs open-heart surgical procedures including CABG, valve replacement, thoracic, and vascular cases
• Day shift is staffed with 4 RNs and 4 CSTs
• Scrub color for surgical staff is Ciel Blue
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates are not accepted
• First-time travelers are not explicitly welcomed; 5+ years of CVOR experience is required
