Role OverviewAcute underserved population in need of critical psychiatric services. Cohesive patient-oriented team for the betterment of the patients. All levels of care inpatient, outpatient, and close management. Make a difference to the patients who most need psychiatric services.
ResponsibilitiesThe Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner provides mental health/psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients under the clinical direction of a psychiatrist and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team in providing mental health services to patients in a correctional setting.
Qualifications- ANCC or ANA certification as an APRN-PMH or NCCPA Physician Assistants with CAQ in Psychiatry of qualifications
- Active unrestricted Florida APRN-PMH or PA - CAQ license
- Active unrestricted Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certificate
- Must possess 6+ months of full-time onsite PMHNP experience
- Prior correctional mental health is highly desired
- Prior locked/inpatient unit experience is highly desired
- Able and willing to pass a comprehensive background investigation
- Work legally in the United States without sponsorship
