LPN | Outpatient Adult Services

Job Purpose:

- The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in a behavioral health setting. This position requires a compassionate and dedicated individual who can effectively support the healthcare team in delivering patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing standards and protocols.

- Responsible for the development, review and documentation of medication only treatment plans
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.

- Ability to successfully complete initial and annual Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) physical restraint training and verbal de-escalation training.

- Will maintain accurate and timely documentation in the medical record of the Medication Profile, Med Clinic Review form, etc.

- Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.

- Satisfactory nursing assessment and documentation, psychopharmacology, and provide effective patient care Required

Education:

- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing meeting minimum standards of the Florida State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Required Experience:

- 0-3 years of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in a mental health setting.

- Proficiency in electronic health records and other healthcare-related software.
