Experienced Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a NEW practice in Sarasota, Florida.

Sarasota Memorial First Physicians Group has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP | FNP) or Physician Assistant in our Sarasota market. We are seeking a well-trained, compassionate, enthusiastic provider looking to provide exceptional care in our employed practice.

We are located in the highly desirable area of Sarasota, FL, which is on the West Coast of Florida and close to some of the most beautiful beaches in the country – Siesta Key, Lido Key and Longboat Key. The community is known for its excellent public and private schools and a vast array of activities for all ages to enjoy.

• Join a multidisciplinary physician group specializing in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, and Pediatrics.
• Full-time, clinic-based position
• Average of 18 patients/day
• Monday – Friday, 8AM – 5PM
• Acute/sick, wellness, and physician overflow visits
• No after-hours evening or weekend call
• EMR system: EPIC
• New office location is scheduled to open in January 2027 on Bee Ridge Road

• Must possess a minimum of three years of advanced practice provider (APP) experience providing comprehensive care to patients across the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
• Graduate from accredited APRN or PA program
• Certification in professional specialty
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Florida
• BLS

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) reflects the mission, vision, and values of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and other regulatory and accreditation standards. The APRN I typically works in an outpatient clinic or area with set hours (i.e., PAT, Employee Health).

An APRN is a registered nurse and therefore can perform all duties that are considered routine duties of a registered nurse. In addition, an APRN holds a master’s or doctoral degree. The APRN functions as part of the multidisciplinary health team in accordance with privileges approved by the credentialing committee to provide high-quality, cost-effective advanced nursing care to patients within the APRN’s scope of practice.
