Located just 30 minutes south of Tampa, our well-established small animal practice has served the South Shore community since 1971 and was voted Best Veterinarian in the area. Our hospital features an in-house pharmacy and the nationally recognized Cat Thyroid Center, which has treated over 3,800 cats with I-131 therapy since 1999.

With a newly remodeled lobby, DVM office, boarding facility, and Cat Thyroid Treatment Center, along with loyal clients and a skilled support team, you’ll enjoy a rewarding, fast-paced environment focused on providing top-quality care.

The Opportunity

As the Medical Director at Ruskin Animal Hospital, you will provide medical leadership for the hospital, ensuring quality care, managing associate veterinarians, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Alongside the Hospital Manager, you will oversee the financial performance of the hospital, preparing operating and capital budgets, and meeting budget expectations. Additionally, you and the Hospital Manager will oversee staff and the overall management of the practice under the direction of National Veterinary Associates (NVA) Divisional Leadership.

Skills

and Basic Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience as a DVM
  • A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or related degree from an accredited university.
  • Licensure in good standing to practice in the state of FL.
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics.
  • Paid ultrasound CE during the first year of employment

Compensation
  • This position is eligible for production-based bonuses
