Position: Relief Veterinarian with Potential Full-Time Opportunity (Small Animal, Mobile Practice)
Location: Dade City

Dade City, FL | Full-Service Mobile Practice | Potential Full-Time Conversion

Amy’s Veterinary Services is a full-service mobile small animal practice, operating out of a fully equipped veterinary clinic on wheels. We are seeking a small animal relief veterinarian to provide coverage during a planned leave, with the potential for full-time conversion following the relief period.

About the Practice

Amy’s Veterinary Services delivers comprehensive small animal care through a modern mobile unit designed to function as a true veterinary clinic.

Our mobile unit includes:
  • In-house bloodwork and diagnostics
  • Ultrasound
  • Portable X-ray
  • Fully stocked pharmacy
  • Surgical and treatment capabilities
Schedule
  • 3–4 days per week
  • Flexible weekdays between 8:00am–5:00pm
  • No weekends
  • No emergency or after-hours work
  • Approximately 7–10 appointments per day
Practice Model & Support
  • Small animal only (dogs & cats)
  • Dade City based with ~30-mile service radius
  • Fully equipped mobile unit
  • Dedicated veterinary technician/practice manager with 20+ years experience handling driving, scheduling, client communication, payments, inventory, and ordering
  • Veterinarian focuses on medicine and records
Future Opportunity

There is potential for full-time conversion following the relief period for candidates interested in a longer-term role within a growing, well-established mobile practice.

  • DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited veterinary school with an active Florida veterinary license (or ability to obtain)
  • Minimum 1 year of small animal clinical experience
  • Comfortable performing routine soft tissue surgeries (e.g., spay/neuter, mass removals, basic wound management)
  • Confident diagnosing and managing general medical cases independently in a mobile practice setting
  • Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work efficiently and autonomously
  • Comfortable utilizing in-house diagnostics including bloodwork, ultrasound, and digital radiography
  • Clear, compassionate communicator with clients and support staff
  • Reliable, organized, and committed to thorough and timely medical recordkeeping
