Job Description

Aramark is hiring a Groundskeeper in Chattahoochee, Florida to maintain a large 600-acre facility for the Florida Department of Children & Family Services. This full-time role pays $17.50 per hour and focuses on outdoor maintenance, landscaping, and general facility upkeep. Day‑to‑day work includes mowing, trimming, edging, and caring for flowerbeds using tools like zero‑turn mowers and weed eaters. The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
, with consistent hours and a steady workload. This is a physically active, outdoor position working in varying weather conditions, ideal for candidates with landscaping, groundskeeping, or general maintenance experience. • Perform daily groundskeeping duties across a 600‑acre facility, including mowing, weed eating, edging, pruning, and weeding
• Maintain and care for flowerbeds, landscaping features, and green spaces
• Operate landscaping equipment such as zero‑turn mowers, weed eaters, edgers, hedge trimmers, and other hand/power tools
• Clean and maintain sidewalks, driveways, parking areas, and outdoor common spaces
• Assist with planting, fertilizing, and seasonal grounds maintenance as needed
• Perform basic maintenance and minor repairs on lawn equipment and tools
• Follow all safety procedures and report equipment issues or hazards immediately
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold
• Support supervision of inmate labor crews (training provided) to complete groundskeeping tasks
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at all times

Required:

• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a State of Florida Level II background check
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM consistently
• Ability to perform physical work including bending, lifting, squatting, walking, and standing for extended periods
• Comfortable working outdoors in extreme weather conditions

Preferred:

• 2+ years of experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or outdoor maintenance
• Experience operating landscaping equipment (zero‑turn mowers, edgers, weed eaters, trimmers, etc.)
• Basic knowledge of lawn care, plant maintenance, and general landscaping practices
