Valrico Animal Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team. This is a hands‑on clinical role for a compassionate, detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding care to both patients and clients.

As an important member of our medical team, you'll work closely with our veterinarians throughout appointments, diagnostics, treatments, surgery, dentistry, and recovery. We're looking for someone who can confidently use their technical skills while remaining calm, organized, and compassionate — even when the day gets busy.

What You'll Do

• Safely and compassionately handle and restrain patients for examinations and procedures
• Obtain complete patient histories and vital signs
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and medical procedures
• Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures
• Provide anesthesia support before, during, and after surgical procedures
• Monitor anesthetized patients and accurately document vital parameters
• Provide attentive post‑operative monitoring and recovery care
• Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples
• Place IV catheters and administer fluid therapy as directed
• Perform laboratory testing, including bloodwork, urinalysis, and cytology
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• Position patients and obtain diagnostic radiographs
• Perform dental cleanings and assist with dental procedures
• Educate clients about medications, treatments, preventive care, and post‑operative needs
