This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the quality of health care in Florida. We are seeking to hire a Government Analyst II who desires to work to enhance the delivery of health care services through the Florida Medicaid Program.

This position requires a candidate who is creative, flexible, innovative, and who will thrive in a fast-paced, team based work environment.

This position is located in the Bureau of Medicaid Quality.

Medicaid Quality provides data-driven, focused and systematic feedback on the quality of Florida’s Medicaid program to federal and state agencies, Medicaid recipients, Medicaid managed care plans, and providers.

The Bureau of Medicaid Quality has a strong focus on providing more comprehensive care, improving health outcomes, and reducing costs.

This position is responsible for coordinating and tracking bureau projects, monitoring deliverables, conducting research and analysis on emerging federal and state regulations, and providing direct support to the Bureau Chief.

The role ensures that bureau initiatives progress efficiently, are compliant with all relevant requirements, and align with Agency priorities.

• Prepare briefing materials, decision memos, presentations, and summaries for leadership.
• Support bureau level coordination with leadership, other agency divisions, external partners, and federal/state oversight entities.
• Assist the Bureau Chief with high priority initiatives, legislative inquiries, and strategic planning activities.
• Track deadlines and deliverables across bureau units, including federal, state, contractual, and operational requirements.
• Compile and synthesize project information for internal and external reporting requirements (e.g., quarterly transparency reports, quality oversight summaries).
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to modernization and streamlining efforts.
• Oversee planning, organization, and execution of key bureau projects, ensuring alignment with Bureau Chief guidance.
