Summary:

Ensures that incoming material from suppliers is conforming and in line with the Purchase Order requirements. This is important to ensure non-conforming material can be identified and actions taken at the earliest opportunity and not during the build process. Acts as the Authorized Release signatory for stating that a product, a part, or a component was manufactured in accordance with design data.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Inspect incoming goods that require inspection as per the Inspection Plans set up in SAP by the Quality Team.
  • Perform checks using appropriate, calibrated measuring tools to validate accurate inspection checks where required.
  • Accurately record inspection results and produce reports where required.
  • Re-inspect material when required.
  • Manage containment activities within stores: raise Non‑Conformance notifications for any non‑conforming parts found in goods in or stores.
  • Ensure that non‑conforming material is segregated and containment actions are carried out.
  • Act as key stakeholder on the MRB (Material Review Board) for non‑conformities.
  • Pick parts and raise & sign authorized release certificates in line with airworthiness standards (Form
    1).
  • Manage bin locations and stock transfer accuracy.
  • Approve, create and maintain GRIPS.
  • Review supplier queries and ensure timely closure of actions.
  • Play an active role in the advancement of metrology with the logistics function.
  • Respond to nil hour returns (NHR) and manage D01 / D1 gates.
  • Maintain inspection equipment in line with calibration procedures.
  • Receive goods into the site (direct and indirect) carrying out the relevant transactions in SAP.
  • Actively participate in improvement activities (e.g., 6S, ISID, EDI, etc.) to ensure team standards are met.
  • Support delivery of other assigned logistics tasks.
Basic Qualifications
  • High School or GED.
  • Ability to learn inspection within an aerospace environment.
  • Ability to understand CAA and airworthiness regulations and working within a controlled environment.
  • Experience of working with warehouse systems, SAP desirable.
  • Ability to learn measuring tools and warehouse principles such as FIFO.
  • Demonstrated experience of delivering improvements in daily work.
  • Experience with tooling calibration procedures preferred.
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of HS&E working practices within a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to interpret technical, regulatory and engineering documentation accurately.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to interact and communicate with all levels across the organisation.
  • Competent use of Excel and Word and confidence with general computer use.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently to meet internal targets.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment such as copy, label machine & count scales.
  • Ability to follow and work to company procedures.
  • Ability to follow priorities set by the business.
Physical Demands

Sitting 15%, Walking 20%, Standing 35%, Lifting 30% (up to 25 lbs.).
