Position: Quality Engineer II (Onsite)
Location: Medley

What You Will Do

  • Manage disposition and resolution of quality escapes, customer complaints, and related nonconformance activities.
  • Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Support returns processing, defect reduction activities, and quality performance reporting.
  • Conduct process walks, operator observations, and facilitate cross-functional discussions to reduce nonconformances and escapes.
  • Lead investigations of defects, work stops, and turnbacks using RRCA, RCCA, QCPC, PFMEA, and similar methodologies.
  • Partner with Quality Inspectors, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, and Engineering to support daily production and ensure product conformity.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of internal leadership and external stakeholders.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret quality data to identify risks, eliminate nonconformances, and minimize workflow disruptions.
  • Participate in CORE activities, MRB, and daily/weekly quality clinics.
What You Will Learn

In this role, you will gain exposure to a broad spectrum of operational quality activities. You will build knowledge in aerospace quality systems and customer requirements; root‑cause analysis, corrective action management, and defect reduction; customer escape investigations and resolution strategies; quality metrics, performance reporting, and improvement methodologies; cross‑functional problem solving across engineering, operations, and manufacturing;
Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement techniques in production environments.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, BOMs, and work instructions.
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, assembly operations, and metrology tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.).
  • Strong skills in quality metrics, data analysis, and trend identification.
  • Experience in quality engineering within manufacturing or aerospace.
We Prefer
  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Engineering, Quality, or related technical field.
  • Experience working in ISO 9001 or AS9100 environments.
  • Experience supporting design/manufacturing processes and working with cross‑functional teams.
  • Working knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, RCCA, and continuous improvement tools.
  • Familiarity with statistical process controls, APQP/AS9145, PPAP, FAI (AS9102), and quality planning tools.
  • Experience coordinating with product and functional teams in manufacturing or development environments.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to lead cross‑functional improvement activities.
  • Strong relationship‑building skills with suppliers and customers.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and the ability to work independently or within cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Capability to work with minimum supervision and demonstrated strong performance in current role.
  • Travel up to 10% (or up to 25% depending on program support).
