Scope
  • Ensure compliance of product manufacturing through product evaluation, testing, and evaluation of production documentation for Device History Records (DHRs).
  • Perform investigations and support the development of inspection procedures and test methods.
  • Train QC Inspectors in both incoming and in-process QC inspection techniques.
  • Perform daily quality inspection on incoming goods, finished product, and component goods in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure timely completion and execution of daily quality inspection activities.
  • Perform receiving, in-process, and/or final inspection and testing activities for distributed and manufactured products as required to ensure product quality.
  • Utilize electronic testing equipment such as Starrett and Keyence Video Measurement Systems.
  • Develop product Certificates of Conformity for Dentsply Sirona entities.
  • Complete required paperwork, update associated product status, enter data, and file documentation.
  • Communicate quality-related problems to Quality Management, Operations, and Supply Chain as required.
  • Execute quality-related software transactions in applicable ERP or other software applications.
  • Perform other random quality inspection and testing activities as needed.
  • Participate in failure investigations and determine the source of defective products; work with cross-functional teams to solve and mitigate quality issues.
  • Ensure appropriate communication to Supply Chain, Quality Engineers, and management of quality-related problems and drive corrective actions.
  • Maintain proper quality procedures, work instructions, and inspection procedures; update as required.
  • Train quality technicians and ensure all training records are current.
  • Support the non-conforming product process, including timely control and communication with cross-functional team members; support QEs in MRB meeting functions.
  • Ensure all documents are completed fully and accurately and appropriately filed for tracking purposes.
  • Interface with Procurement to ensure timely return of NC Materials/Products to suppliers.
  • Obtain additional information from cross-functional teams as needed to ensure completeness of all required documentation.
  • Document quality data using Good Documentation Practices both manually and electronically, ensuring data is retrievable for continuous improvement activities.
  • Escalate any new, unknown risks or hazards identified through inspections to QEs for further evaluation and decisions.
  • Provide quality control support for all internal/external audit activities.
  • Act as a change agent for quality inspection techniques, including identifying non-value added activities.
  • Assist in complaint investigations.
  • Serve as site internal auditor.
  • Maintain quarantine inventory.
  • Catalog retains and DHRs as assigned.
  • Maintain up-to-date training compliance via LMS.
  • Develop a team culture to provide an optimum environment for employees’ growth and contribution.
  • Follow all established health and safety policies.
