Consult with and advise investigators regarding experimental design for small and large scale qualitative and quantitative proteomics studies along with targeted and untargeted metabolomics studies. Conduct LC‑MS/MS analysis of investigator‑produced samples using Thermo Exploris 480, Thermo Q Exactive HF and other LC‑MS/MS systems as required.
Analyze and report resulting data using tools such as Proteome Discoverer, Scaffold, Max Quant and Compound Discoverer. Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation. Participate in developmental, educational and outreach initiatives such as the TSL Proteomics Workshop and the monthly proteomics user group meeting.
Maintain and develop the lab’s user base and sample load to ensure sufficient user fee revenue to support the position.
Qualifications- Academic master's degree or highest-level terminal degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization.
- Hands‑on experience operating Orbitrap nano
LC‑MS/MS systems for proteome‑scale research, including both labelled and label‑free quantitative technologies and associated data analysis packages. - Must show evidence of excellence in research through publications in omics or related fields in national or international settings.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently is essential.
- Ph.D. from an accredited institution in an appropriate field of specialization.
- At least five years of hands‑on experience operating Orbitrap nano
LC‑MS/MS systems for proteome‑scale research, including both labelled and label‑free quantitative technologies and associated data analysis packages. - Extensive experience in proteomic sample preparation and familiarity with adjacent technologies such as cell culture, molecular biology, protein purification and immunoassays.
