Research Scientist
Location: Land O' Lakes
Summary
As the only National Cancer Institute‑designated Comprehensive Cancer Center based in Florida, Moffitt employs some of the best and brightest minds from around the world. The faculty member will develop and maintain an active research program, support research primarily through extramural grants, publish original research reports in peer‑reviewed scientific journals, recruit and mentor research personnel, and participate in CCSG programs and the Moffitt Research Institute activities.

- Collaborate with department members to understand cancers as dynamic, evolving systems and identify novel therapeutic vulnerabilities.
- Develop an independent research program in metabolism that complements the department’s strengths in characterizing cancer‑related processes.
- Preference for candidates with research plans focused on tumor‑host metabolic interactions, including diet, microbiome, cachexia, therapy, and other factors.
- Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent degree.
- Strong track record of impactful science and compelling plans for building a creative research program.
