Research Administrator | Proton​/Cardio Research | Downtown | Full Time

Overview

Foster and grow the research activities and programs working with Chair, Administrative Director and faculty investigators,

managing research staff and directing the research operations.

Essential Functions

• Build infrastructure to facilitate research activities of Department.
• Strengthen clinical research productivity and potentiality for external funding.
• Develop and promote new research programs in conjunction with expanding goals of Department. Negotiate and review contracts and agreements for studies and associated services.
• Improve the interface with clinical databases and initiate research databases for more efficient utilization of research activities.
• Assist Department faculty to identify funding opportunities, development of proposals and applications and nourish other academic functions.
• Manage research financial affairs.
• Work with administrators of University, Hospital and Practice Plan to integrate Department s research mission and programs and achieve synchronous grants processing procedures and practices.
• Work on special projects as stipulated by Chair.
• Assemble collaborations with UF-Gainesville and affiliated institutions to strengthen Research foundation and advance interdisciplinary projects.
• Other duties as assigned

Experience Requirements

• 3 years Strong clinical research experience (as administrator or coordinator) working with IRBs required
• Experience in healthcare organization with research function preferred
• Some managerial/supervisory experience preferred

Education Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
