We’re seeking an experienced research scientist and proven leader to manage a premier agricultural research station in the Southeast. This senior role combines scientific leadership, station operations, team management, and client engagement.
You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team of researchers, technicians, and farm staff conducting field, greenhouse, and laboratory trials in crop protection, sustainable agriculture, and product development. This is an opportunity to lead meaningful applied research while helping shape the growth of our Southeast operations.
What You’ll Do- Lead research station operations and multidisciplinary scientific and farm teams
- Design and oversee field, greenhouse, and laboratory crop protection trials
- Lead and develop the station’s entomology research program while providing scientific support across other research programs
- Ensure scientific quality, data integrity, timely reporting, and successful project delivery
- Build strong relationships with clients and cooperators
- Develop research proposals and support new business opportunities
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, facilities, equipment, and regulatory compliance
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Entomology, Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Science, or a related agricultural science
- 5+ years of agricultural research management and product development experience
- Proven experience leading scientific and field-based teams
- Demonstrated entomology expertise, including insect pest management, insecticide/pesticide efficacy, and applied agricultural research
- Experience managing field, greenhouse, and laboratory research programs
- Strong client communication, scientific reporting, and presentation skills
- Demonstrated leadership, organization, and business development capabilities
