OverviewThe Oaks Club, a private, member‑owned Golf and Country Club located in beautiful Osprey, FL, is seeking a Part‑Time Pastry Chef/Baker to assist our Pastry Chef in our new Bakery/Kitchen. This year‑round position supports the preparation and presentation of high‑quality desserts and baked goods for our members and events.
Qualified candidates must possess prior pastry or baking experience and a solid foundation in professional baking techniques. The Club will provide training specific to The Oaks Club’s standards, recipes, equipment, and procedures.

- Assist in preparing and decorating specialty pastry and dessert items
- Prepare baked goods including puddings, gelatins, frozen desserts, stewed and baked fruits, pies, cakes, pastries, icings, custards, fondants, and fillings
- Assist with overseeing pastry carts and buffet dessert table setup and presentation
- Support food production by accurately measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and managing baking times to ensure consistent quality
- Perform cake decorating tasks using established techniques to meet presentation standards and menu specifications
- Package baked goods efficiently while maintaining presentation quality and food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station, including proper sanitation of equipment and storage of ingredients
- Follow all food handling and safety procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and prevent cross‑contamination
- Assist with catering orders and special event production, including large‑scale pastry preparation as needed
- Ensure high standards of sanitation and cleanliness are maintained throughout the bakery at all times
- Proven experience in pastry arts, baking, or food preparation within a commercial kitchen or bakery setting
- Strong cake decorating skills with attention to detail and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Proficiency with kitchen tools and equipment including mixers, piping bags, ovens, and pastry tools
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality and consistency
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Familiarity with food industry best practices related to catering, restaurant operations, and food production
