The Bartender Supervisor is integral to the guest experience and provides beverage services (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to the guests of the property.

General

Purpose:

Requires strong leadership, product knowledge, and the ability to manage inventory, schedules, and customer relations in a fast-paced environment. Creates memorable dining experiences through personalized and genuine interactions.

Stocks bar, mixes and serves alcoholic beverages, assists in cost control, inventory and maintains inventory records.

Assists department leaders with creation of seasonal cocktails and development of menu.

Assists department leaders with Social Media schedule and creation of content.

Maintains inventory control through conscientious use and careful monitoring of all food and beverage products.

Communicates with management in a timely manner when supplies are needed.

Supervise and support bartenders and barbacks during service.

Train new bar staff on recipes, service standards, and responsible alcohol service.

Monitor beverage inventory, place orders, and manage stock rotation to minimize waste.

Ensure bar cleanliness, equipment maintenance, and compliance with health and safety standards.

Handle guest complaints or special requests professionally and promptly.

Create and update cocktail menus in collaboration with management.

Promote a positive team culture that emphasizes efficiency, hospitality, and respect.

Ensure compliance with applicable state liquor laws and standard operating procedures provided by the management.

Communicates guest requests and concerns to the Department Manager.

Performs opening and closing duties which include, but are not limited to inventory, cash control, cleaning, and restocking.

Accountable for checks and cash transactions. Utilizes Point of Sales System.

Reviews banquet schedule for changes, calendar of events, and special events.

Serve catered parties from service or portable bars.

On occasion will serve meals to guests.

Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.

Regular and reliable attendance.

Performs other duties as required.

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Requirements:

Knowledgeable with restaurant point-of-sale (POS) systems (e.g. POSITOUCH and MICROS)

Physical Demands:

Frequently stands, walks, talks, hears, and uses hands.

Regularly reaches with hands and arms.

Occasionally climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls, crouches; tastes, smells and sits.

Frequently lifts up to 25 pounds.

Occasionally may lift up to 50 pounds.

Certificates/Licenses:

Serv Safe Certified (Food & Alcohol) or TIPS equivalent.

Job Knowledge, Skill, and Ability Preferences:

Knowledge of wine, spirits, beer and current trends in industry and marketplace.

Possesses the knowledge of cocktail recipes.

Professional and courteous demeanor.

Demonstrate a strong commitment to company values.

Exceptional personal hygiene and positive representation of the organization to Troon employees, clients and vendors.

Fluent in English speaking, writing and understanding.

Must meet state age requirements for handling alcoholic beverages.
