We are seeking a friendly and outgoing Cafe Opener and kitchen prep to join our team! In this role, you will be morning opener getting pastries ready and opening shop. Welcome customers into the coffee shop and prepare daily food orders and some coffee orders. Your goal is to ensure patrons enjoy their food and drinks and time at our shop.

The ideal candidate is passionate about serving people, working in various roles throughout cafe and is willing to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

• Welcome customers into the coffee shop with a smile
• Make food and beverage orders
• Explain the menu items to customers
• Create a variety of espresso-based drinks, from basic to more complex
• Enter orders into the POS system with accuracy and efficiency
• Bus tables and wipe down surfaces
• Maintain a clean work environment
• Some Sundays may be required

• Familiarity with food safety guidelines
• Serve Safe or Food Handler’s Certification or ability to obtain shortly after hiring
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to stand for extended periods
