Cafe Attendant

Sulphur, OK | Customer Service | Full Time

Summary:
Performs a wide range of food related services to ensure an efficient and professional café operation. Supports program mission to serve appetizing and nutrient dense foods using proper food handling techniques.

• Provides first class customer service to both internal and external customers and responds to inquiries, compliments, and/or complaints with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency
• Completes all training and development requirements and participates in continuing education opportunities
• Works in a collaborative and supportive manner to support the productivity and safety of the work area, team members and customers of all types
• Maintains a clean, organized work area and ensures a safe environment
• Maintains and promotes professionalism
• Punctual and consistent in meeting start time, work schedule, attendance and other assigned work time metrics
• Adheres to Chickasaw Nation dress code standards
• Maintains knowledge of and follows all rules, regulations, policies and guidelines for assigned area
• Assists in preparation of orders for food and food service products for cost effectiveness and efficiency of operation
• Maintains proper sanitation and safety practices
• Ensures cleanliness, maintenance, safety and sanitation of kitchen and or other assigned areas and reports all necessary problems immediately
• Works with Catering Team to execute catering needs
• Ability to prepare food for service including but not limited to chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, cutting fruit, preparing meats and stocking inventory appropriately
• Operates point-of-sale terminal to tally customer purchases and ensure accurate payment is received
• Provides accurate change for cash purchases
• Processes discounts, refunds, exchanges, coupons accurately
• Balances register/terminal and completes reports for receipts, cash balance
• May perform minor trouble shooting of POS
• Maintains accurate cash count and assume responsibility for any shortages at end of shift
• May be responsible to confirm POS pricing updates
• Stocks inventory several times during shift by placing products on display shelf for customer availability
• Performs all other duties as assigned

• Must be able to operate various kitchen equipment
• Operate point-of-sale terminal

• No prior experience required

• High School, GED or Equivalent

• Pass general background check
