Position: Lead Retail Sales Associate (Part-Time/OPS)

Responsibilities

• Assists with opening and closing the store
• Follows cash and card control procedures by monitoring and assisting with:
  • Sales
  • Refunds
  • Exchanges
  • Voids
  • Conducting end-of-day reconciliations of cash and card sales
  • Problem solves discrepancies in cash count
• Supports Store Management with guiding Sales Associates/Stockist in:
  • Daily floor activities and assignments
  • Store appearance and cleanliness
  • Customer service expectations
  • Policy and procedural compliance
  • Safety awareness/Risk management
• Troubleshoots and resolves:
  • Customer feedback and concerns
  • Point of Sale/Credit Card systems
• Provides clear communication in a timely manner to:
  • Sales Associates/Stockist
  • Store Management
• Other duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Acts as backup to Sales Associates/Stockist
  • Assists with annual inventory
  • Retrieving inventory deliveries and off-site product
  • Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to:
  • Stand for extended periods of time
  • Climb a small step ladder
  • Stock products on high and low shelves
  • Lift up to 25 lbs.
• Valid Driver's License or ability to obtain prior to hire
  • Driver's Permits are not allowable

• Ability to guide part-time staff in the absence of Store Management
• Organized with attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to change
• Effective communicator in-person, phone, and via email
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn point of sale system
• Ability to create a welcoming space with a high level of customer service
• Experience in warehouse/retail/stock room

Helpful

• Previous lead or supervisory experience.
• Previous experience or knowledge of point of sale systems.
• Verbal fluency in additional language(s) besides English.
• Experience with or the ability to:
  • Make helpful purchase recommendations to visitors, including upselling.
  • Remain calm during busier times while maintaining a strong focus on providing a positive customer service experience.

Anticipated Salary Range

$16.45 per hour (24 hours a week)
