On call Clerk 1 – Tallahassee, FL (No Local)

This entry‑level position prepares the way of salvation and exaltation by making essential gospel teachings, resources, and services accessible to God’s children. It fosters an environment of reverence and respect and helps guide customers to make informed product decisions. The incumbent must be endowed and hold a current temple recommend.

• Greets customers and ascertains customers’ needs
• Provides high‑quality customer service, including product knowledge to assist customers
• Develops understanding of contents and/or properties of all products to adequately serve customers
• Responds to customer questions regarding curriculum, proper fitting of clothing or issues of similar complexity
• Provides personal fitting consultation to patrons at distribution store
• Prepares merchandise for purchase
• Operates point‑of‑sale terminal, finalizes sale of selected products, and processes returns
• Assists store supervisor to ensure the store is attractively displayed, well presented, and that there is adequate inventory on the shelf
• Assists store supervisor with inventory and cycle counts
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain facility, equipment, and storage areas in good condition
• Works as scheduled and needed (including Saturdays and holidays)
• Assists in other operational responsibilities, as needed

This is an on‑call position; no benefits are available.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to complete internal customer‑service training within one month of hire
• Basic math, reading, computer, and cashiering skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others
• Ability to work under direct supervision and follow standard procedures and written instructions to accomplish assigned tasks
• Ability to work as scheduled and needed (including Saturdays and holidays)
• Must work in a retail environment
• Physical requirements:
  
  standing for long periods, stooping, bending, lifting up to 40 pounds

• Retail sales and/or customer service experience
