The association advocates for seniors, providers, and work forces before the Florida Legislature, Governor’s Executive Agencies, and other state and local entities where senior living policy is shaped.
FSLA also provides high-level executive training and continuing education to support the professional growth of its member organizations and their teams.
We are seeking a seasoned, reliable professional with a strong background in bookkeeping and association operations to join our small, collaborative team in Tallahassee. The right candidate will bring years of hands-on experience with Quick Books Online
, solid association or nonprofit management experience, and the judgment that comes from a mature, proven work history. This position is in-office, located in Tallahassee.
- Maintain accurate financial records using Quick Books Online
, including accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, monthly closes, and financial reporting - Support day-to-day association operations: membership records, dues tracking, invoicing, and basic member correspondence
- Assist with compliance-related documentation and record-keeping typical of a membership association
- Handle routine payroll support, expense tracking, and coordination with external accountants or auditors as needed
- Provide calm, professional front-line support and help maintain an organized, efficient office environment
- Several years of proven experience using Quick Books Online in a professional setting (bookkeeping, reconciliation, and reporting)
- Prior experience in association management, nonprofit administration, membership organizations, or similar professional environments
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional, steady demeanor
- Comfort working both independently and as part of a small, collegial team
- High integrity and discretion when handling financial and confidential information
