Overview
HVAC Salesperson – Commercial, Residential & High-End Builders (An excellent opportunity for a results-driven sales professional motivated by achievement and customer impact)
We are seeking a driven and knowledgeable HVAC Salesperson to join our Sarasota team. In this role, you will develop and manage sales across existing relationships with commercial businesses, residential developments, and high-end builders throughout the Sarasota, Bradenton, and Tampa markets (territory:
Venice to Tampa
).
- Sales & Business Development
- Generate new leads and grow sales across commercial, residential, and high-end builder markets in Sarasota, Bradenton, and Tampa.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with homeowners, builders, developers, general contractors, architects, and property managers.
- Assess customer needs and recommend appropriate HVAC systems, upgrades, and service solutions.
- Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and bids, including plan and spec reviews.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to close profitable deals.
- Technical & Project Coordination
- Conduct site visits, take measurements, and assess project requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and installation teams to ensure accurate system design and execution.
- Ensure compliance with local codes, energy standards, and manufacturer specifications.
- Support projects from pre-sale through completion to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients.
- Maintain ongoing communication to support repeat business and referrals.
- Address customer questions, concerns, and change orders promptly and professionally.
- Administrative & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and sales activity in CRM systems.
- Track pipeline, forecast sales, and meet or exceed assigned revenue targets.
- Stay current on HVAC products, technology, rebates, and industry trends.
Required
- 5+ years of HVAC sales experience (commercial and/or residential)
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and energy-efficient solutions
- Proven ability to close deals and manage long sales cycles
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and specifications
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
Preferred
- Experience working with high-end or custom home builders
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC
- Familiarity with estimating software and CRM platforms
- HVAC certifications or technical training
- Consultative, solution-based selling approach
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities
- Highly organized with strong time-management skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and customer-focused
- Professional appearance and demeanor
