Location: Fort Myers Beach

The Sales Coordinator position reports to the Resort Director of Sales and assists the Sales Manager with the coordination and creation of the sales leads as well as any office duties.

Physical Demands:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, and hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Requirements:

  • Excellent verbal and good written skills required
  • Extra language knowledge is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations depending on the groups and clientele.
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Ability to learn Marriott Catering, Sales, and PMS systems
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Answers phones; qualifies incoming inquiry calls and ensures all inquiries are dealt with accurately timely and in a professional manner
  • Effective at listening to understanding clarifying and resolving the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
  • Maintain sales files in an organized fashion and as per specified standards
  • Maintain timely and effective paper flow and communication within the department and with other departments
  • Assist managers on creative projects including proposals direct mail pieces invitations special events etc
  • Quotes prices for meeting inquiries and works with respective Sales leadership at the property
  • Organize and prepare any daily/weekly/monthly reports and report correctly before the deadline
  • Assist guests and clients with small changes requests
  • Monitors/Orders office supplies and sales collateral to ensure we are properly stocked at all times with full packets of collateral supplies and promotional items
  • Conducts site inspections for the department as needed
  • Enter group pickup in the sales system daily and enter preferred productions in the sales system monthly
  • Other items as they relate to the Sales and Marketing effort of the hotel as well as any other items as needed by the entire management staff
  • Perform related duties or projects as assigned by the management
  • Follow corporate sales policies and house rules
  • Work possible weekends and Holidays based on business demands
