A Day in the LifeAs an Affera Mapping Specialist at Medtronic, you will collaborate with clinicians, engineers, and physicians to provide clinical and technical support for cardiac mapping and navigation systems. You’ll train staff, promote safe use of our CAS products, and help drive sales within your territory while traveling up to 25% of the time and maintaining a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities- Provide clinical and technical support and training on EP mapping and navigation systems and all CAS products.
- Educate physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on technical matters related to CAS products and procedures.
- Promote the safe and effective use of Medtronic CAS products and procedures.
- Support national, regional, and territory sales objectives to achieve or exceed sales goals.
- Develop and cultivate customer relationships to generate incremental business.
- Work with Account Manager, Regional Manager, and Area Directors to identify sales opportunities.
- Collaborate with local sales team to conduct customer training for mapping and other CA solutions products.
- Coordinate with sales and clinical teams in the region.
- Act as an effective Medtronic CAS representative to physicians and support staff.
- Serve as a regional champion to share your experience and influence others in mapping technology.
- High‑school diploma + minimum 6 years of related work experience in cardiac mapping and navigation.
- Associate degree + minimum 4 years of related work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree + minimum 2 years of related work experience.
- B.A./B.S. in nursing, cardiovascular, life sciences, or technical discipline with at least four years of experience in a cardiac or sales environment.
- Proven track record with technical training assignments.
- Experience in the cardiac catheter ablation field, EP lab, hospital/clinic, or EP medical sales providing technical/clinical support.
- Ability to travel more than 25% of the time.
Job Requirements
- Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
- Must be within assigned territory each day to respond to unscheduled needs.
- Occasional travel outside territory with possible overnight stays.
- Valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance; driving record reviewed as part of the application.
- Ability to use a computer and move freely throughout the facility.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and walk for 8 hours a day.
- Travel up to 25% of the time.
Salary range for U.S. (excl. Puerto Rico) positions: USD 120,000 – 125,000. Eligibility for a Sales Incentive Plan (SIP) based on performance.
