Job Summary

The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for providing customers with exceptional knowledge and demonstration of complex solutions through a consultative sales approach and owning the Business Plan for the defined territory (Southeast USA – Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Alabama & Louisiana). The Regional Sales Manager will be a self‑starter, extremely motivated and somewhat technical due to the products we sell, service and maintain and must have a prior track record of selling “like” systems from a technical perspective either in a fixed or mobile environment.

The Regional Sales Manager must continually attain and develop new business as well as maintain existing accounts within the defined territory and will strive to initiate, develop and maintain relationships with key decision makers, industry insiders and integration partners.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain and expand customer base; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; identifying new customer opportunities
  • Recommend product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Plan and implement a competitive strategy to bring about substantial growth in the assigned territory
  • Demonstrate technical selling skills and product knowledge that allows the RSM to give effective presentations
  • Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity
  • Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all support departments
  • Service existing accounts, obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors
  • Adjust content of sales presentations by studying the type of sales outlet or trade factor
  • Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses
  • Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc.
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments
  • Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
