E-Commerce Sales Specialist

Position Summary

The E-Commerce Sales Specialist at American Photonics will own the B2C/e-commerce sales execution through approved online channels. This includes online listings, marketplace activity, online customer communication, B2C order workflow, B2C support/RMA tracking, e-commerce revenue reporting, and coordination with IT, Accounting, Shipping, Quality, and Sales when online activity creates operational or B2B implications.

• Manage approved online sales channels, including Shopify, Amazon, eBay, and other approved marketplaces or storefronts
• Maintain accurate online listings, product content, pricing status, availability, images, descriptions, and customer-facing information within approved controls
• Track online revenue, channel performance, product performance, marketplace issues, customer issues, and workflow gaps
• Coordinate website/storefront lead flow so inquiries that become B2B/custom opportunities are routed to the proper sales owner in CRM
• B2C Customer Communication and Workflow
• Respond to B2C online customer messages, marketplace questions, order issues, and approved online support inquiries within the agreed cadence
• Own B2C order workflow visibility through approved channels while coordinating physical shipping with Shipping / Receiving
• Track B2C RMA intake, customer communication, and status; coordinate returned product intake with Shipping / Receiving and conformance issues with Quality
• Escalate customer, listing, pricing, refund, settlement, inventory, or compliance issues to the proper owner
• Coordination with Internal Owners
• Coordinate with IT for site access, redirects, forms, lead capture, marketplace connections, and approved system changes
• Coordinate with Blue Rock Accounting on merchant settlements, platform fees, refunds, chargebacks, and reconciliation support
• Coordinate with CPDO or approved technical owner for product content, application language, material accuracy, and capability language
• Coordinate with Sales when e-commerce activity creates a qualified B2B or custom opportunity

• Keep B2C/e-commerce execution separate from B2B RFQs, B2B account management, B2B post-sale, and defense opportunities unless formally handed off
• Do not change pricing, discounts, refund policy, return exceptions, technical claims, compliance statements, or marketplace terms outside approved authority
• Do not manage IT systems, accounting settlements, shipping execution, quality release, or B2B customer commitments

The E-Commerce Sales Specialist owns B2C/e-commerce execution, listings, online customer communication, marketplace workflow, B2C order visibility, B2C RMA tracking, and e-commerce reporting. The role does not own B2B RFQs, B2B account management, B2B closing, defense opportunities, pricing strategy, shipping execution, accounting settlements, IT permissions, product conformance, quality release, customer flowdown review, or compliance approvals. When an online customer becomes a B2B/custom opportunity, the lead is transferred to the correct sales owner in CRM.
