this position will assist with review and preparation of legal reports and documents.

your specific responsibilities:

assist with researching issues in the florida statutes, regulations, and florida department of transportation policies and procedures.

assist with organizing files, maintaining logs, inputting data, preparing reports, and delivering legal documents to the county courthouse. Proofread documents for spelling, punctuation, and grammatical errors.

assist with the preparation of eminent domain motions and other legal memoranda.

assists with responding to public records requests and subpoenas as assigned.

the successful candidate will have the following required knowledge, skills, and abilities: knowledge of:
  • the use of a personal computer, including word processing, spreadsheet, and e-mail software
ability to:
  • understand and apply basic legal principles, applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • effectively communicate with internal and external customers, orally and in writing
minimum qualifications:
  • must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • must be authorized to work in the united states and provide identification supporting citizenship or authority to work for the duration of program participation.
  • participants are required to comply with all statutes and rules and the department’s policies, procedures, regulations, and code of ethics.
