• You will assist the Operations Officer tasked with the organization, training of security forces and the execution of strategic weapon’s security mission.
• You will provide timely information relating to Security Force requirements and employment status to higher, adjacent, and subordinate staff representatives in order to enable effective decision making.
• You will study the accomplishment of operational security requirements of security forces in order to improve security performance and mission accomplishment.
• You will design and conduct strategic weapons security operational surveys, reviews, inspections, exercises, and research projects and provides advisory services.
• You will advise the team on methods, practices and procedures and assist the team and/or individuals in identifying variable solutions and provide opportunities to improve efficiency or effectiveness.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

• Must be a US Citizen.
• Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
• Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

• Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
• Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
• MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat-essential systems.
• This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
• This position is part of the Department of Defense (DoD) Security Professional Educational Development (SPeD) certification program.
