Location: Eglin Air Force Base
About the Role
This position is located at Eglin AFB in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and will support the F‑35 Lightning II Program. The role will perform duties as a Security Generalist and will be responsible for security support of classified and unclassified areas of the F‑35 Integrated Training Center (ITC) and/or F‑35 Fighter Squadrons.
Key Responsibilities- Assist instructors, students and visitors using facilities
- Operate badging and access control systems
- Monitor security camera systems and perform random searches
- Enforce all USAF and local security procedures and practices, including controlling access to secure facilities, handling and storage of classified documents and electronic media
- Monitor compliance with COMSEC and COMPUSEC (act as COMSEC/SVRO custodian as needed)
- Provide assistance with file plans, documentation maintenance in classified containers, change combinations and generate SF 700s
- Assist in self‑inspections, preparation for customer inspections, and documentation of vault alarm tests
- Assist in security investigations and provide training and scheduling of Level 1 Security Generalists in specified locations
- Escort un‑cleared personnel within classified areas
The position will primarily be assigned to the second shift but may require flexibility to work other shifts, including weekends, as dictated by customer requirements. Occasional business travel may be required for deployment and detachment support outside of Eglin AFB, FL.
Basic Qualifications- Experience providing oversight to multi‑functions of security
- Current SECRET security clearance with an investigation within 5 years from the investigation closed date or confirmed enrollment within the Continuous Evaluation (CE) program
- Ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Access Programs (SAPs)
- Industrial and/or military security experience
- Ability to establish and maintain professional and productive relationships with internal and external customers
- Experience working on the F‑35 Program
- Knowledge of ICD 705 Physical Security
- Previous SAP experience & knowledge of DoD 5205.07
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multi‑task and work in a team setting to achieve common goals
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office products
This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Shift and ScheduleNon‑standard 40‑hour work week, assigned by leader. The role is strictly onsite full‑time at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
