Position: Security Officer - Hospital Patrol - Flex

Location: South Pasadena, FL

Pay Rate: $17.50 / Hour

Job Schedule: Day Time Fri
02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

How This Role Works
  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts'):
    You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program:
    In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.
Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including hallways, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, while observing and reporting unusual activity and/or conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, directing foot traffic, and supporting visitor and contractor screening practices.
  • Support healthcare location operations by assisting with de-escalation, way finding, and incident response while maintaining professionalism and respect for privacy.
Minimum Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Vaccinations are required for this hospital assignment.
  • Must be able to work in and around a hospital morgue.
  • Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
  • A minimum of 2 years of service in a healthcare or medical-related field is required.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
