What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a utilities location.

* Respond to incidents, alarms, and unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with supervisors, local contacts, and/or emergency personnel as needed.

* Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential concerns.

* Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor information, and document daily events, observations, and security-related incidents in required reports.

* Support emergency response activities by following post orders, assisting with evacuations and/or restricted access measures, and reporting hazardous conditions or equipment issues to appropriate personnel.

Minimum Requirements:

* A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.

* Access control and badge experience is preferred.

* Comfort using a computer or tablet is required.

* Guard card is required.

* A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
