Training Instructor –
Location:
Kings Bay, GA
- Conduct classroom and hands-on instruction for armed security guards.
- Train personnel in firearms safety, weapons handling, range procedures, Non-lethal weapons, CPR and Annual Sustainment Training.
- Develop lesson plans, training materials, and instructional presentations.
- Provide instruction on force protection, anti-terrorism measures, access control, patrol procedures, and emergency response.
- Teach federal laws, Navy regulations, use-of-force policies, and security procedures.
- Conduct weapons qualifications and evaluate firearms proficiency in accordance with Navy and Department of Defense standards.
- Serve as a Range Safety Officer during live-fire exercises and weapons training.
- Monitor and document student performance, attendance, certifications, and training completion records.
- Identify training deficiencies and recommend corrective or sustainment training programs.
- Coordinate training schedules, exercises, and certifications with command leadership and security departments.
- Must be CPR Instructor certified (American Red Cross)
- Must be National Rifle Association (NRA) Instructor certified
- Must be Non-Lethal Weapons (NLW) Instructor Certified
- Must be able to pass 1.5 mile run in 17:30 and perform 19 push-ups
- Must obtain confidential security clearance
- Inspect weapons, equipment, and training facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Conduct scenario-based training exercises involving active threats, emergencies, and security incidents.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to security personnel regarding professional development and operational readiness.
- Maintain knowledge of current law enforcement techniques, Navy security policies, and training requirements.
- Prepare written reports, evaluations, and recommendations regarding training effectiveness and personnel readiness.
- Assist during security operations, emergency situations, and heightened force protection conditions when required.
- Ensure all instruction complies with OPNAV instructions, Department of Defense regulations, and installation policies.

- This position will not have supervisory responsibilities.
- This position is not subject to federal requirements regarding Department of Transportation “safety-sensitive” functions.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
- Ability to run, bend, kneel, crawl, climb, and lift equipment when necessary.
- Ability to carry firearms, ammunition, tactical gear, and training equipment.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds or more.
- Ability to participate in defensive tactics, firearms training, and emergency response exercises.
- Must pass required physical fitness standards and medical evaluations.
- Must maintain physical agility and endurance to respond to emergencies and security incidents.
- Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
Professional appearance requirements, medical and vision requirements, and related standards apply as part of employment. Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance and wear required PPE and safety gear properly. Maintain duty gear and weapons in clean, serviceable condition. Must be physically and mentally capable of carrying firearms safely and meet vision and hearing requirements established by Navy or DoD standards.
Must successfully complete periodic medical screenings and fitness evaluations.

Additional Qualifying FactorsAs a condition of employment, you will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain and maintain the appropriate clearance levels and must be able to obtain access to military installations.
